Help Food Banks Serve #MoreThanFood

Food banks serve so much #MoreThanFood.

They serve people; they strengthen communities, reduce food loss and waste and greenhouse gas emissions, and help create healthier, more resilient communities.

Together, with farms around the world, The Global FoodBanking Network and its members in more than 50 countries are recovering and distributing fresh, healthy produce to people who need it. And by making sure that good, surplus produce makes it to our tables instead of going to waste, they’re preventing harmful greenhouse gas emissions that exacerbate climate change.

About The Global FoodBanking Network

The Global FoodBanking Network supports community-led solutions to alleviate hunger in nearly 50 countries. While millions struggle to access enough safe and nutritious food, nearly a third of all food produced is lost or wasted. We’re changing that. We believe food banks directed by local leaders are key to achieving Zero Hunger and building resilient food systems.

The Global FoodBanking Network is a 501(c)3 charitable organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service in the United States of America; contributions are tax-deductibile to the extent allowed by US law. Tax deductibility outside of the US is dependent on local tax regulations. GFN’s Tax ID number (EIN) is: 20-4268851
